Calendar Girls The Musical (2024)

Based on the 2003 movie Calendar Girls starring Helen Mirren & Julie Walters, it was adapted for the stage by Tim Firth in 2008, and premiered as a musical in 2015 with music and lyrics by Gary Barlow

Pat McElwain
Director

Pat is a Dublin-based writer & director with a wealth of experience in Musical Theatre. Pat has received multiple awards and nominations from AIMS The Association of Irish Musical Societies for acting and directing, including 3 Best Director awards at the Waterford International Festival of Light Opera. Pat has directed the professional Irish premiere of 42nd Street in The Gaiety Theatre and Encore at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. In 2016, he co-wrote and directed Spirit of Freedom which played over 60 venues in the USA & Canada before turning for a week’s run at The Olympia.

Shane Farrell
Musical Director

Shane is a Galway based Musical Director who is in high demand throughout the country. Shane has been nominated for Best MD at the AIMS national awards 5 times, winning on 4 occasions. Shane also runs his own stage school Bravo Juniors and caters for all school going ages. Alsongside his wife Clodagh he runs Bravo Theatre Group a Galway based musical society and conducts multiple choirs, such as Bravo Belles. He has also been involved television work, and conducted for the Tommy Flemings concerts nationwide.

Chris Corroon Choreographer

Chris Corroon is an actor, drama and dance teacher. He has been nominated for multiple national AIMS awards, winning Best Actor for his role as Lola in Kinky Boots in 2023, and Best Singer for his leading role in Jekyll and Hyde in 2019. He holds a teaching diploma in musical theatre from ABD. Chris works with Fun House Factory Drama School. He is the Dame in TheatreWorx's Annual Panto in The Helix in Dublin. He has also worked in television and various dance schools in the midlands.
